From his controversial stunts on politics in the local rag, to the tales and adventures of his beloved Harley Davidson and his passionate divisive take on Advertising, it’s possible that you’ve heard of Mark Holloway.
Marks larger than life personality is certainly infectious and his overly active creative mind has him wildly jotting down a flurry of ideas that often come to him in the middle of the night. While not every scheme is practical it’s the job of Marks team to decipher the “flurry” and channel into structured plans that will get results for the clients. Mark is always thinking of the end goal. Increasing sales of our clients and thinking about what steps we will take to achieve the desire result.
While inspiration for clients is always running rife in his head, Mark does have a life outside of work. Miriam, his patient and quintessential soccer mum (not to mention the motor cross, piano lessons, netball, cooking and looking after the animals in between). Their five children (Rossi, Jackson, Ashford, Vinny, and Freedom ) are all a combination of their bull at a gate dad, and softly spoken mother. If you ever see the Holloway Family on holiday or even a weekend away you they it’s not uncommon to see their Previa bursting with all the necessities bar the kitchen sink. With a few car loads of family friends in tow a familiar sight are a few boat loads heading out to Mayor Island. While the Holloways are taking guardianship of their friends boat the 35 foot Mandolin Sailing boat (Marks other pride and joy) they make the most of every warm weekend during the Summer months enjoying dolphin watching and the odd catch of a Kingfish. Mark adds that he caught his first one a short time ago and with the excitement of young child eagerly smoked it and ate it right away onboard the vessel.
Mark is obsessive about advertising that works. Always full of enthusiasm and stories, he's the great encourager of the work environment. A great, powerful and creative salesman and with years advertising notched on his belt and he's always keen to sell you a new idea or concept. He enjoys sailing, hiking and of course riding his beloved Harley off into the sunset, destined for those far away places.

At Holloways we have discovered – under the influence of many of the greats such as David Ogilvy, John Caples and Claude Hopkins - that it’s the words that make marketing work. If Ruby writes your selling copy you’re in good hands. Once I taught her, now she teaches me.
Welcome to Ruby’s bio. We don’t write our own here at Holloways, which in Ruby’s case is a crying shame. She wrote the bios for the rest of us and reading them you’ll find she spins a great yarn. Ruby writes, as comedian Bill Cosby says you must, ‘like she talks’. Listening to Ruby talk is fun, reading the words she strings together is that way too! That said it falls to me, Mark Holloway, to write Ruby’s bio.
I need in these lines to introduce you to Ruby the person, not just Ruby the writer. This is where the task gets a harder. Ruby is a dark horse. In a meeting she’ll defer to you and allow you to lead the discussion and lull you into a false sense that you’re getting your way. She does it with me and she’ll do it with you. Watch her! Within a week or two you’ll discover that your idea, your project has ended up being done Ruby’s way, and WITH your blessing. Which you will in the end, be very thankful for because Ruby is practical, a great judge of the best approach. She is a sensible judge of character, manager of people and practitioner of the Holloway Approach.
Ruby is a jack of all trades and a master of most of them. She has done just about everything at Holloways. She has managed our largest team of people, she has delivered seminars, organised major print projects, and managed massive marketing (and direct selling) projects for Holloways and for our clients.
As to her other interests – Ruby comes up with a new 'brilliant idea' or venture that she wants to get stuck into every day of the week. In summer it's easy to spot Ruby on her cherry red beach cruiser bicycle in the streets of Mount Maunganui when she's not charming Holloways and our clients into doing things her way, almost always to our benefit. She is also a bit of a book worm and can be found reading anything from "How to write advertising that sells" to the latest fashion bio.

Summer and beach towels and silver glitter shells, artist impressions and Macbook confessions, dark Swiss chocolate, and dancing in dresses, homemade birthday cards and cocktail lessons - these are a few of her favourite things.

A keen fan of motorsport, Nicole often finds herself getting her hands dirty as it’s all hands on deck getting Dad Neil’s fire orange Mustang saloon up ready for racing at Baypark the next weekend.
Nicole is an old hand when it comes to covering a wide range of design areas; she has produced a variety of Medias. Print advertising, Promotional materials, tabloid, newspapers, identity creation and start up materials are just a few of Nicole’s specialties. She has worked with and alongside large corporations as well as small businesses. So what would Nicole’s perfect day be…?
